Name of Film

Coming up with the name of the film actually turned out to be one of the hardest tasks in making and film and completing all the reasearch. What we wanted to acheive with our name was a catchy title thatwould draw in an audience, and in some way reveal what the theme of the film was going to be about. Here are some of the names we came up with:-

  • Wrong Choice

  • Redemption

After thinking about it for some time we finally settle for, Redemption. The reason for this was it has a significant meaning and link with the film itself. Redemption means; improving of someone/something, redeeming yourself for doing wrong and/or restoring the honnor of someone/something. The reason this meaning ties in with our film and the opening sequecne is that our film is about a man working for a small time drug lord who thinks he's big. But during the film the main character decides to go against his boss because he needs to pay back a loan shark who seems to have something over him. So throughout he has been stealing money slyly everytime he drops off the drug money. When the boss makes the main character give him the money in person, the drug lord sees there is money missing! Suddenly, the main character runs out of the house and down onto a back street with the two hench men following close behind. Towards the end of the opening sequence the main character falls, and the two henchmen catch him, knocking him out untill the boss appears with a cricket bat that he uses to hit the main character over the head with. But just before it reaches him, it all freezes and a voice over is heard ''Why did i let it get so bad?''. Then this all rewind and we see a clip of the beginning of the film where the main character is woken up during his sleep by the loan shark demanding for his money back, Fast! Then title comes up. So at some point during the film we will see that chase scene again, but it doesn't finish there because the boss doesn't end up hitting the main character in the head after all, but instead stops just before he hits his face. Then offers the main character at a chance of making up to him for stealing the money, hence the name Redemption.
